It’s So Much More Than Play - Why Our Program Works
Our curriculum is designed with these core competencies and benefits in mind, tailored to integrate seamlessly within any educational framework. We leverage evidence-based practices and align with CASEL’s recognized framework, ensuring that our program not only meets but exceeds the expected outcomes of SEL. Through structured activities, guided discussions, and practical exercises, we empower educators and students alike to foster a more inclusive, understanding, and productive environment.
Introducing SEL Training
“We love the tools—but we want guidance on how to use them with confidence and consistency.”
In response to this demand, we’ve introduced hands-on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) trainings designed to help staff move beyond understanding SEL concepts to applying them effectively in real-world settings. Our trainings build on the same evidence-based frameworks that inform our curriculum, while adding live facilitation, practice, reflection, and customization for your unique environment.
If you’re implementing SEL with a team—or want to ensure your program creates lasting impact—our trainings provide the structure, clarity, and support to make that possible.
Curriculum Overview
This curriculum is designed to integrate seamlessly into an existing educational framework (camps, home, and schools), providing structured activities to foster social-emotional learning (SEL).- Each lesson (20-90 mins) guides instructors in facilitating meaningful conversations around key skills, encouraging reinforcement through consistent vocabulary and modeling by both adults and children.
- The activities create opportunities for practice, with repetition being essential to skill mastery.
- Rooted in evidence-based practices, the curriculum aligns with CASEL’s framework and Marc Brackett’s RULER program. By focusing on emotional intelligence and SEL, it promotes growth and well-being for all stakeholders—students, educators, and caregivers alike.
- The activities are designed for students in grades 3-8, but older students can take on leadership roles by guiding the exercises using their own facilitator’s book. This gives older adolescents a chance to strengthen their SEL skills by teaching and facilitating, while also encouraging them to reflect on their experiences in writing. It’s a valuable mentorship opportunity that benefits both age groups.
A meta-analysis of 213 studies involving 270,034 students showed that SEL programs resulted in:
